This year....
This year has been very different from the past ones.
Fist of all, it was the first year of no study whatsover, which is a big change considering my occupation has geenrally always been - student.
I have spent a quarter of the year traveling through parts of Europe and Taiwan and another quarter sitting in an office and working generally from 8.30am to 6.30pm five days a week. Talk about extremes....
I have set my screensaver at work to display my pictures and every so often it comes on and I am amzed by what I have seen this year.
6 months ago, I was standing on top of the worlds tallest building, Taipei 101 and there was a slight tremor.
9 months ago, I stood in front of the Berlin Wall, the Brandenburg Gate and may more. Its stood through the test of time and still continues to be a symbol of the past and the future.
Now, when I go to do the photocopying, I look out and see the Petronas Twin Towers (which is pretty cool when you can see it, but the haze is pretty bad at the moment and you can't, which is worrying cos we are right opposite it).
So many things have happened this year and I still find all the experiences slightly overwhelming. Anyhow, my travel bug still continues and I am quite pleased to find out that I am going to be doing a bit more traveling on the job (way to go all expensed paid trips). However, unlike my first trip to India this one is going to just be interstate to the cities of Ipoh, Kuantan and Johor Bahru. These are all cities I haven't visited, and though they may be short, it's pretty cool to check out our branches there and probably try out the local cuisine.
